An optional networking half-hour has been included within the overall timing for this session, to which you are warmly invited

Dr Sarah Temple invites you to this dialogue session to discuss how adversity in early childhood can affect emotional, mental and physical health across a lifespan and can mean we are better able to hold compassion over longer periods of time and across a broader reach.

Being more aware of In Groups and Out Groups. It means we can create workplace systems that are more inclusive with people who are neurodivergent.

Sarah will open up discussion about neurodiversity in the work place. Also the role of leaders in creating more inclusive work environments.

About Dr Sarah Temple

Dr Sarah Temple is s a GP with a long standing interest in children’s emotional and mental health. She has put together a coaching programme which is known as Mindful Emotion Coaching.

Sarah became interested in how childhood experiences affect both physical and mental health outcomes. When she was at medical school in the mid eighties – her student project was on the social and physiological effects of intergenerational adversity.

GP training in psycho-somatic medicine in the late nineties further enhanced her interest in attachment theory. It introduced her to the Adverse Childhood Experiences data analysed in the seminal study by Anda and Felitti in 1998.

In a break from General Practice she worked in CAMHS. Set up the infant and maternal perinatal network in Cornwall before moving to Dorset. Sarah worked with Public Health Somerset between 2015 and 2022 creating neurodiversity inclusive. Also trauma-informed resources for use in schools and across services into communities.
